Our student-run environmental society actively organizes a variety of initiatives throughout the year to promote sustainability, conservation, and climate action on campus. Each month, we run awareness campaigns through posters, addressing topics like zero-waste living, sustainable diets, and eco-friendly habits. We've held workshops on making natural products, hosted expert talks on climate issues, and regularly conduct campus clean-up drives. Our popular green initiatives, such as Vegetarian food and Plastic-Free Campus, engage a wide student base.
We host sustainable project competitions, eco-art exhibitions using recycled materials, and green sessions followed by discussions. Seasonally, we plant trees in Monsoon season, maintain our planted trees in summer, promote rainwater harvesting in Monsoon, and run Solar energy awareness campaigns during winter. We also advocate for institutional changes by submitting sustainability proposals, launching petitions, and pushing for campus-wide green policies like more recycling points and solar energy adoption. Our society participates in global environmental movements like Earth Hour and Earth Day, and we intend to regularly plan climate-focused hackathons and ideathons to encourage innovative solutions. Through these efforts, we continue to empower students and drive real environmental change.
